Rosamond, CA – Under beautiful Southern California weather, Don Thibaut, of Rush Motorsports, drove the latest Race Engineering power plant and claimed pole position setting a lap that is 0.8 of a second under the lap record and took home the win in SCCA’s national race at Willow Springs International Raceway.
This being only his 2nd time in the car with Race Engineering’s power, Don Thibaut led the charge of over 20 Spec Miatas to the green flag at the track known as the “fastest road in the West” and after 18 laps of non-stop action, Don took the checkered flag with a gap of about 0.4 seconds over teammate Jonathon Christian.
Don Thibaut credited his win to Rush Motorsports’ immaculate car setup, preparation, and having Race Engineering’s powerplant in the engine bay. Congratulations to Don Thibaut, Rush Motorsports, and Race Engineering for their winning combination!Follow us
