We have to give a shout out to our friend, Tim, once again for surprising the team with another treat. This time it was a variety of refreshing drinks to cool off from this summer heat. Zone 8 Beverages are not only delicious, they’re good for you! Find Zone 8 in the Midwest and West Coast.

Morning update: Orange Tail Squirrel finished out yesterday’s race! In fact, all of our Birds finished the race: Casey Carden Motorsports, Justin Hunt, and Steve McCoy!
Steve had a mechanical failure towards the end of the day that will prevent him from competing today, but we have a plan of action and he will be back at it in no time. We spent the night changing out the transmission and at the track now prepping for today’s race. Forecast is predicting it to be a little warmer and a higher rain chance. It should be another good one!
Hour 4.5 update: 23rd overall, 7th in class. However, that will be changing due to transmission troubles. Stay tuned. We’re hoping to figure this out and get back out there!
Update: We’re back out there!
It’s going to be a long night for Chris, Mitch, and myself, but this is what we do. We love to help whenever we are able to. This is a perfect example of that.
A few hours ago, Chris got a phone call while away from the track for a moment asking if he was able to help a car that was not starting. We drove straight to their paddock when we got back. It took a little over an hour but we got it started.
Unfortunately it appears that the issue is bigger and will require engine work. However, as of right now, there is potentially a fix that will allow this team to compete this weekend and we are doing everything we can to help them get to race tomorrow morning.
