Race Engineering is at Carolina Motorsports Park and all of the birds are tucked in for the night. Tomorrow, the birds will take flight and we can’t wait to see how well they do! Many thanks to: Carolina Cup Pro Series, Panic Motorsports, G-LOC Brakes, Appalachian Race Tire, Hoosier Racing Tire, Cyclo Industries, SCCA Inc., SCCA Flaggers, Traqgear Racing Innovations, Mazda Motorsports, and COOLSHIRT SYSTEMS.
We are saddened by the passing of Don Arns. Don lost his battle to cancer last Friday, May 5th. He had been a Panic driver for years and most recently competed in the Carolina Cup Pro Series, winning last years ITA Championship. We are keeping all of his family in our thoughts. So for this week we have a flywheel with some sparkle. Any ideas? Post below!
Remember our “What the hell?!” Wednesday from last week? We’ll post our favorite caption of our very own Race Engineering plumber tomorrow.
We would like to congratulate Morgan Mehler for both of his wins in the Carolina Cup Pro Series Presented by Race Engineering!! This makes 3 total wins for Morgan, Douglas Erber has won 2 events, and Nash Lawson has one event win.
Race Engineering had a total of 12 birds out competing this weekend! Mark and Ray Seiler with Rising Son Racing, Justin Barbry, Robert McManus, John Linger, Steve Henkle, Rob Trollinger, and Bradley Zilisch traveled to VIRginia International Raceway for theSCCA SARRC/MARRS event. Unfortunately, Mark and Ray had a mechanical failure during Friday’s practice session that put them out this weekend but are already looking forward to being back in a few weeks. But the rest of this talented group managed to pull a total of NINE top 5 finishes for the weekend! Congratulations to all of you!
Daniel Setili was at another SCCA event gaining 4th and 3rd place finishes in his races and earned a new personal best. On old tires and a car setup that needs adjusting, that’s not to bad. Way to go Daniel!!
John Hammer spent his weekend at Carolina Motorsports Park for the Sinko De Mayo NASA event. Be sure to read his weekend recap and why his races were so interesting on his page The John Hammer. Even after all of the shenanigans, he managed to finish 4th on Saturday and 7th on Sunday. Congratulations John!
Last, but most certainly not least, we had a crazy bunch head over to Michelin Proving Grounds for the Central Carolina Region Autocross. Luckily the weather cooperated for this one. Kelly Huffman came out 2nd, AJ Snyder 3rd, and Lexie Murray 6th. Congratulations!!
As always, thank you to Panic Motorsports, Carolina Cup Pro Series, G-LOC Brakes, Appalachian Race Tire, Cyclo Industries, Traqgear Racing Innovations, Mazda Motorsports, COOLSHIRT SYSTEMS, SafeRacer, Summit Racing Equipment, NCR SCCA, and all of the workers!
